Meet The Team | Sandra Reynolds, Head of Key Accounts
Tell us a bit about yourself…
I am Head of Key Accounts at Tradelinens. I thrive on really understanding what my client's needs are, going over the finer detail and making sure I always go the extra mile so that practical requests are always met.
I enjoy getting to the core detail of what my client's needs are, working hard to diminish the stress out of any situation - making their life easy. Hotel Managers have a particularly demanding role in industry, I need to be able to adapt and respond quickly so that their guest's requirements are fulfilled beyond expectation.
Before working in industry, I used to own a coffee shop business which had a £1m turnover. I understand the pressures of ensuring every customer is looked after and to a high standard. This experience has provided me with transferable skills throughout my career.
How did you break into the linen industry?
After a career working in buying and merchandising in high street fashion, I moved to a consulting role for a bespoke uniform designer supplying high end 5 star hotels. I have always loved the 5 star hotel experience since childhood. My father was the resident pianist at The Peninsula hotel in Hong Kong and the chef used to sneak me some chocolates from the kitchen whenever I visited! When I saw an opportunity at Tradelinens I jumped at the chance to work in this great environment.
Tell us about a typical day…
I work with key clients both in the UK and overseas who are part of a chain. My main responsibilities are working with clients who are in the process of opening and launching a new hotel and also clients who are refurbishing an established brand. I source and purchase bedding, towels and linen that guests will love and enjoy a 5* experience from bed, to bath, to dining. I also assist in suggesting re-orders to maintain stock levels. I work with suppliers to support sales processes to make sure everything is delivered before deadlines and to a high specification.
What makes a hotel, B&B or luxury retreat special?
My clients are some of the most prestigious hotels and hotel groups in the world. The dedication of the hotel staff I work with is second to none. The attention to detail and the highest standards deliver the best customer experience. It’s great to support them.
What’s your favourite project you have worked on so far?
I enjoy the new openings and refurbishments – creating bespoke linen, towelling and bedding to reflect the interior designs.
What gets you up in the morning?
I enjoy sleeping in my Tielle linen, waking up super refreshed!
If you were cast away on a desert island, what would you take?
My Tielle pillow with 400 thread count sateen pillowcase and my phone – just to play music!
