Putting the B in business: We’re now a Certified B Corp!
We did it! We’re proud to announce that both Tradelinens and Tielle are now Certified B Corporations. This milestone is recognition of decades of doing things the right way, and it’s testament to our team’s commitment to people, planet, and the perfect night’s sleep.
By becoming a B Corporation, we’ve joined a global movement of over 10,000 businesses dedicated to meeting the highest environmental and social standards, upholding transparency, and staying accountable for every decision we make.
The UK is leading the way, with the fastest-growing B Corp community in the world. And we’re in good company, standing alongside changemakers like NEOM and Lick. Think of this as a seal of approval for businesses that care about more than profits. It also means that when you buy from a B Corporation, you know your money is going towards a brighter future.
This certification is just one part of our ongoing ESG journey, but we’re over the moon to be part of a community wanting to do better business for a better world.
“We are delighted to welcome Tielle to the B Corp community. This is a movement of companies that are committed to changing how business operates and believe business really can be a force for good. We know that Tielle is going to be a fantastic addition to the community and will continue driving the conversation forward.”
- Chris Turner, executive director of B Lab UK
We’ve always believed that our high standards should go beyond great bedding and textiles. Over the years, we’ve worked hard to weave a patchwork of environmental and social pledges into the fabric of everything we do - from joining the Better Cotton Initiative back in 2016 to maintaining the highest standards across all our family-run mills.
There have been some big achievements on our journey to becoming a B Corp. We earned our Global Organic Textiles (GOTS) certification after a thorough sustainability and welfare audit. And we continued to support women at work, offering mentorship, skill-building, and networking opportunities for aspiring female leaders.
Additionally, we partnered with Swinton Estate in the Yorkshire Dales - with 7,000 acres of moorland, 1,700 acres of woodland, and a deep commitment to conservation - becoming the first business to purchase carbon credits from them as part of our path towards net zero.
It’s because of partnerships like these, a team who care deeply, and customers who care about their impact, that we’ve reached this point. But this is only the beginning.
Earning B Corp status is a huge step and our work continues. We’re proud of our strong scores across Governance, Workers and Customers - showing we run our business responsibly and care about our people and customers. Now, we’re turning our focus to further refining and delivering initiatives in the Environment and Community Impact areas over the next 12-18 months.
Thank you to anyone who has been part of this journey so far - our colleagues, partners, and our customers. Together, we’re creating a world where every great night’s sleep helps create a better tomorrow.
