We’ve always welcomed international accreditations like ISO, SA8000 and the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI), and we partner with industry schemes such as the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI). Our company and our products will always meet the standards that these accreditations set.

EDUCATION

We proudly support The Citizen Foundation (TCF) in Pakistan, which aims to make basic education accessible to all, regardless of sex, class or background.

Together, we have:

  • Established 1060 purpose-built school units nationwide
  • Enrolled 165,000 students
  • Maintained a 50% female ratio across most campuses, including a full female faculty of 8,900 members
Zero tolerance policy to child labour

Mahnoor Khursheed

After graduating from Al-Muhaimin Campus-II, Quaidabad, Mahnoor completed her Matric in 2011 and secured an A+ (81%). She then went on to do her Inter in 2013. She has received admission in Ziauddin University in their 5-year Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.

Fahad Khan

Fahad is a bright student who completed his Matric from TCF Juma Himmayati Goth in 2011, securing an A+. He then went on to complete his Intermediate in 2013 with an A grade. He has gained admission to the prestigious NED University where he plans on pursuing a BE in Automotive Engineering.

Amna Pervaiz

Amna completed her Matric from TCF Bhittaiabad 2011 and went on to secure an A in Inter in pre-medical subjects. She is now enrolled in the Pharmacy program at Karachi University, a 5-year program which will allow her to pursue clinical pharmacy or even research options.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING

In India, we’re helping to fund a new bespoke training facility in partnership with our mill and the Government. It will house the latest specialist textile industry machines and mentors. The aim is to train up to 120 people each year into both new and increased-skill workers.

  • Each student successfully completing the course to the audited standard outlined by the NSDC (National Skills Development Corporation) of India will be issued with a nationally recognised qualification
  • Highly skilled trainers have been recruited both from the most experienced of the current staff and externally where necessary
  • 120 students in groups of 20 will be trained each year
  • Students will be made up of unskilled people and upskilling in preparation for promotion within the current staff
